This article presents a comprehensive textual analysis of the poem “Sharq” by Abdurauf Fitrat based on editions published in 1922, 1987, 2000, and 2011. The study identifies lexical, morphological, syntactic, and ideological transformations in the text. The findings demonstrate the impact of Soviet editorial policy and the historical development of the Uzbek literary language on the evolution of the poem. The earliest edition preserves stronger poetic intensity and ideological sharpness.
