DOCUMENTALISM AS A METHOD OF REPRODUCING REALITY

The article examines documentary as a special method of literary reproduction of reality, based on factual material, documentary evidence and reliable sources. The features of the formation and development of the method in the context of world, Russian and Uzbek literatures are revealed, and attention is focused on its ethical and social significance. The author analyzes the principles of documentary as a way of recording and interpreting reality in the context of post-truth and information uncertainty. The method of documentary is positioned as a means of restoring trust in the literary word and as a form of working with historical and collective memory.
