Historically, we know that repression against “enemies of the people” in the former Soviet Union intensified after the October Revolution of 1917 and continued step by step until the 1980s. The article talks about the repressions carried out by the Soviet government in 1937-1938, and explains the specific term “enemy of the people.” The charges against them and the punishment imposed on them are revealed based on an analysis of the literature.
