This article analyzes the work Al-Adab al-Kabir by the 8th-century scholar and philosopher Abdullah Ibn al-Muqaffa from a philosophical and hermeneutic perspective. The work is considered one of the earliest examples of the siyasatnama (political treatise) genre in Islamic history. The article highlights the significance of this treatise in the development of political science through specific examples.
