LEGAL STATUS OT THE CONSUMER IN THE FIELD OF TOURISM SERVICES

This paper examines the legal status of the consumer in the field of tourism services as a set of their rights, obligations and guarantees enshrined in national legislation. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of civil legislation, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Protection of Consumer Rights" and "On Tourism". The paper describes the mechanisms for protecting consumer rights in case of violation of the terms of the tourist service agreement, the responsibility of tour operators and travel agents, as well as the role of state and public institutions in ensuring the legal protection of tourists. The work emphasizes the relevance of the topic in the context of growing tourist activity and the need to improve the legal literacy of consumers.
