Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive linguistic analysis of lexical units associated with the osh lexeme. The study elucidates the significance of osh-based lexical units within the frameworks of ethnolinguistics and linguoculturology, drawing on illustrative linguistic examples. The cultural and social importance of the osh concept in the life of the Uzbek people is substantiated through phraseological and paremiological units. Furthermore, osh is interpreted as a sacred cultural symbol deeply embedded in Uzbek oral folklore, customs, and traditions. The article also examines various regional types and denominations of osh, providing insights into their historical development and formation processes. The findings highlight the role of the osh concept as a key cultural marker reflecting national identity and collective values in Uzbek linguoculture.
