This article analyzes the issue of limiting personal freedom in cyberspace from a social-philosophical perspective in the context of the rapid development of digital technologies. It provides an in-depth examination of the complex relationships between individual activity in the virtual space of the information society, the strengthening of control mechanisms over personal data, and the practices of social control exercised by state and non-state institutions.
