This paper explores the complexities and challenges associated with the translation of proverbs across different languages. Proverbs, being culturally rooted expressions, often carry nuanced meanings that can be difficult to convey in another linguistic context. The study examines various case studies to highlight how cultural references, idiomatic expressions, and contextual significance influence the translation process. It also discusses strategies employed by translators to preserve the essence of proverbs while ensuring they resonate with the target audience.
