This article covers the issue of students' learning of linguistic competences based on criteria-based assessment. In the acquisition of language skills, its criteria and descriptors are considered one of the important requirements of the present time. It is important for evaluators and learners to form and improve pedagogical processes for teaching and learning, and helps to objectively evaluate student’s knowledge.
