This article highlights the role and functional significance of democratization principles in the process of modernizing the national system of education and upbringing. It analyzes the impact of a democratic approach based on the principles of human rights, freedom of expression, equal opportunities, and participation of all stakeholders in the educational process. Furthermore, the article explores the role of democratization in fostering social activity, critical thinking, and civic consciousness within the educational environment.
